UPPER POTTSGROVE — Fire gutted a home at 1337 N. State St. Thursday afternoon, causing $200,000 in damage to the structure alone, officials said.

Firefighters stop blaze

Firefighters from the Upper Pottsgrove Township Fire Company stopped a blaze that destroyed the living room of a home on Farmington Avenue near West Moyer Road. The call for the fire came in around 11 a.m. and firefighters quickly extinguished it.

Hundreds hit polling places early to vote in 'historic' election

Long lines, backed-up traffic, limited parking and even emergency surgery didn't deter the hundreds of area residents who turned out early to cast their vote in what many were calling a "historic" election Tuesday.

UPPER POTTSGROVE - An 84-year-old man was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital Center Monday morning after her was run over and dragged beneath a camper that had just been unhitched from a pickup truck.

Once-troubled fire company adds equipment, additional volunteers

UPPER POTTSGROVE — The township's once-embattled fire company has rebounded, both financially and from a membership point of view and is now moving ahead with plans to purchase a new fire truck, with the "blessing" of the township commissioners.
